When Can I lose my green card

Hello,

This list is awesome. Tons of great information. I have my approved labor Certification now. My complany is going to file I140 and I485 ASAP. I know that I will get an EAD within a few months (this based on what I have seen with others who applied from green card around the same time I did).

My question is:
1. At what point is the green card a done deal. What if I was to get fired, will I still get the green card?
2. Can I just keep renewing the EAD forever?

... Once USCIS sends you/attorney I-485 approval letter.

What if I was to get fired, will I still get the green card?
... Answer depends upon layoff timing and action(s) taken after layoff. Even after layoff, you can continue/finish your GC journey if you are able to use AC-21.

2. Can I just keep renewing the EAD forever?
... Yes. Provided I-485 is pending.
