When can I change job?

Hi,

I applied for 140/485 on may 12 2004. My current company isnt doing very well and I have no option but to change my job on EAD. I wanted to know when exactly I can change my job. Is it 180 days after 485 RD or 180 days after the ND?
 
Since your I-140 is not approved you have to be careful.
If you can work it with your employer then get another employer to transfer your H1 based on pending I-140/I-485 and then wait for your I-140 approval that way you will be kinda safe.

I tried getting Job on H1-B but it did not work out. So, I had to opt for using EAD. My H1-B expires in Aug 2006 and I94 is valid till the same.

Suppose I work for the current employer on EAD for a few months and then I get a new employer who can sponsor for H1B then can I change my status to H1-B again? Also, what is the procedure to change status from EAD to H1B? Will there be any complications? Let me know.

Your help here is greatly appreciated.
