When can I call KCC to ask for my interview date after becoming current?

Hi Seniors,
I am current for the month of January 2011. Today is the 15th day of the month.
My question is: When can I call KCC to get my interview date. Since I'm studying in Canada, I need to make a travel arrangement as well as leave from university which might take a while.
Any idea on how can I get the interview date before getting my 2nd NL which might take a while?

Thanks for your reply. Indeed, I called KCC today and they told me that currently they are scheduling my interview. They asked me to call next week. BTW, will they attach 2nd NL in email if I make a request?

Hi Dvnp , first of all congratulation for winning 2011 DV. I am also from Nepal , however my case# is too high , finger crossed and hoping for the best.
Anyway regarding KCC 2nd letter you can ask them to send it over to your mail address they will send it. I have come across some of the post from Winner of Australia thread, and they used to get it.

Hi All !

Got my interview date. I called KCC to confirm them. Now waiting for the 2NL to receive, which they told me will be posted within 7-10 business days.

Congrats dvnp. I was been following your post for quite sometime and finally days has come for you . Wish you all the best and please post your Interview detail . I am very excited to know the nature/pattern of interview held in Nepalies embassy.

Hello everyone, i appreciate the good work been done here...may God grant us all our heart desires. Please i have a few questions that needs urgent answers, i am current for January 2011.

1- Please can i go ahead with my medical test before my second NL arrives?
2- is it compulsory i do the NPC birth certificate? because i have my original birth certificates given to my parents when i was actually born.
3- Can i go ahead and do the police report before second NL aswell?
4- I applied for this dv 2011 in November 2009 and i included m wife in it when i applied even though we have only done our introduction at this time and the wedding was in December, i filled married in my form online when i did and used the december weddin date as my wedding date.. i just want to know if this cant arouse any questions. we are married now since december 2009 and we have ur wedding certificate.
5-Do i really need the affidavit of support? what if i have a good bank statement and i can get a letter form my bank as regards this. or is it compulsory atall to get AOS?
6- please is it possible for me to change where i want to stay in USA, after what i already filled in my forms. or i can only do this at the point of entry.
7- my ssce is 7 credits with pass in english, i hope i am good with this even though i have another gce that i have credit in english.
8- is it true that if you are current in a particular month, doesnt mean ur interview wil be in that month.

Congrats for becoming current for Jan 2011.
I think you should show signature like most of the people. Have a look on my signature as well. This will let people know where are you from, you CN and etc.

In most cases, DR needs 2nd NL to perform medical test. Call your representative (clinic) from your country.

Yes you can! again it depends on your embassy. Most embassy allows six months validity of the certificate. Therefore ask your embassy!

Ask US Embassy in your country !

Yes you can! Just provide the reason!

Not relevant. In order to be eligible you MUST have 12 years of education or work expereince. Most of applicants are eligible by education not work.

It depends on your embassy. How busy is the embassy? How fast your application was process by KCC? How early you send forms to them? MOST of the time at same month but again many things can be the factor.

Therefore, you will get right answer from your embassy. Ask them as there might be chances that other people may not know!!
