When can I apply? Re: Continuous residence

Entered the US on 1/10/2014-that's the date on my green card.

Between 1/11/2014 and 8/24/2014, I had absences of 15, 84, 2, 7, and 97 days outside the US, for a total of 205 days OUTSIDE the US. I spent a total of 19 days INSIDE the US during that time period.

I spent a lot of that time traveling and wasn't employed anywhere. I had to finish up a semester of college from Jan to Apr and then I traveled but I had a residence in the US with most of my belongings there throughout this whole time. On 8/24, I moved to where my new school was.

So do I apply based on 5 years after 1/10/14 or 5 years after 8/24/14?

Thanks for any help

You never had an absence of 180 days, so you probably didn't interrupt continuous residence. They could theoretically consider multiple absences with short trips to the US in between to be one long absence, but even for an absence of more than 180 days (but less than 1 year) it is possible to overcome the presumption of interrupting continuous residence with evidence of your ties to the US during that time.

Assuming you didn't interrupt continuous residence, you can apply starting 10/12/2018 (90 days before 5 years).

Thank you, that's what I figured so it's good to have some peace of mind. :)
