When can I apply for N400 -- continues residence

Hi,

I got my GC at 6/7/2002. And I had 3 trips after it (15 days and 17days).

I sent my N400 to INS on 03/07/2007 (3 months before 5 years residence 6/7/2007) but they returned it on 3/11/2007 to me tell me I am not qulified for it.

Is anyone know why? When can I send my N400 again?

Is it possible that need to be minus the days for out of USA's trip?

They have known to return applications if they reach even 1 day before the 3-month date!

you have NO continous residency problems. There are 2 choices:
1. Either get an infopass and ask them why they returned it.
2. Re-apply in a months time & see how it goes.

Its not 3 months, it 90 days, so please get a calendar and count the days before you send it in again. Cheers!

Exactly my thoughts. Its usually wise to add a few extra days as well - just in case USCIS math doesn't work out the same as yours.
