The recipt notice for our I-485 is May 27, 2003.
EAD and Advance parole are approved in August 2003.
Now the next step. When can we expect invitation for Finger Prints?

We want to travel outside US on advance parole, what supporting documentation required?

Our H1 visa validity expired in passport(Visa stamping)
But can we send the new H1 approval letter to St.Louis and get the Visa stamped in passport?

Will it be better or just travel on Advance parole is OK?

Also my spouse(Dependent) wants to change employers after November 27th, 2003, which is after 6 months after notice date.
Is it OK?

Can the employment be on Contarct basis or it has to be full time permanent only?

Regards

If you are a eligible for H1 revalidation from Dept. of State and if you won't be traveling for 3 months it is strongly reccomended to travel using H1 since it is valid to 3 years unlike AP which has to be renewed each year. If you use you EAD for work you no longer can use H1 for traveling.

There is no science behind BCIS work process, you may get the FP notice as early as tomorrow or as late as 6 months from now or beyond.

It is perfectly OK to travel using your AP, just keep your company business (or ID) card, AP approval papers, copy of I485 receipt notice (not mandatory but just in case) with you while travelling. There is no problem at POE or otherwise, I've travelled couple of times with AP and never had any problem.

Recently I've heard that some airlines are asking for a letter from local consulate identifying you as legal non immigrant travelling to US. Please check with the airline before booking your tickets.

You don't need H1b while you have EAD, its purely your wish to get it stampped.

There is no restriction for change of job for dependents (spouse), your wife should be able to do it. My wife have changed jobs a couple of times using her EAD.

Hope this is helpful.

Thank you guys!
If my wife(Dependent) changes her job using EAD, then her H1 is no longer valid? She is willing to change after 6 months in Novemebr 2003.
That means even if we get H1 visa stamped in passport at St.Louis , still using that Visa she can not come to us?

Ok, anyhow we have EAD.

But can she go as a contractor or she has to accept only permanent jobs?
