In a Petition for a Hearing for Naturalization based on 8 USC 1447b, where defendants A, B and C are USCIS and government officers and are sued in their official capacity. If defendant A was served on Oct. 4, defendant B was served Oct. 5, and finally defendant C was served on October 6, and we know they have 60 days to answer through the US attorney's office, what's the deadline for them to answer the complaint:
1. On December 3, based on the date of service on Defendant A (the first person to receive the summons), or
2. On December 5, based on the date of service on Defendant C (the last person to receive the summons).

Thanks for your answer. All defendants reply through the US Attorney
who files ONE answer. I am looking for a date to put on my default
judgment in case they fail to answer. Would it be 12/03 or 12/05?

I've also heard that I should wait at least one week after the
expiration of the deadline before sending the default judgment motion,
is this true?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Wait till 12/05 to be on the safe side. I've never heard of waiting a week. Maybe a day or two for the courts to process anything that was submitted at the last minute but not a week. Plus doesn't the court go by filing dates.....if the response isn't filed with the clerk by 12/05 (assuming that's the date) then they missed the deadline.
