When and how to apply for citizenship after being on H1 and EAD and getting GC

I have been in the US for almost 5 years now. 3 years on H1 and 2 years on EAD and recently got my GC.
My question:
1. Do I have to wait for more 5 years to apply for citizenship or the time of my H1 or EAD counts.
2. Can I apply for citizenship myself or do I have to find an attorney. If I can do it myself where can I find more information.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have to wait for 5 years. Sorry. You don't need a lawyer if you don't have any criminal charges or unusal thing in your case. www.ins.gov is instructionally very good.
