When am I eligible to apply for US Citizenship?

Hello,

I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me to determine when I am eligible to apply for US Citizenship.

Here is my history:

March 28, 2009: Travelled to Hawaii from Australia. Permanent Residency was issued at Honolulu Airport upon arrival.
April 3, 2009: Returned to Australia (for just under 10 months).
January 25, 2010: Moved permanently to the US.

The total time I have spent outside of the US since April 3, 2009 is just under 10 months. But in that time, I lived and worked in Australia (saving for my permanent move to the US). I have not left the US since January 25, 2010.

If anyone could help I would be very grateful!

If you apply when it's 5 years minus 90 days after your January 2010 re-entry into the US, which would be October 2014, you would be free and clear from any negative effects that the 10-month trip would have on your chances of approval.

If you want to apply sooner, you could consider using the 4 years + 1 day rule which allows you to apply 4 years and 1 day after the end of a long trip or trips which broke continuous residence. However for you that's a questionable because 4 years and 1 day after that trip still is less than 5 years as a permanent resident.
