What's your excuse ?

Hi dengdeng,

No Change.

No FP2.

No RFE

No Approval.

But many cases will be approved in the flood of approvals in the next couple of weeks.

This is not a scientific prediction or a rumour but my senses tell me that.

Wish you will also get approved in the next few days.

pingpong, impossible, so many Dec and Jan cases lingering, and many of those need 2nd fp. how can they approve all cases in two weeks

Well, not to support the crystal ball theory, but clearly some of the things are resolved and might speed up the cases in the next couple of months

1. Visa numbers have been reduced drastically, freeing up more time for adjudication of 485

2. Religious visa cases are also ending.

3. The employees hired by VSC, should have been sufficiently trained by now and their relocation to a newer building is done (??).

4. By this time the VSC folks would have been under more pressure to adjudicate those cases, as the deadline is exceeded considerably (>20months), and they do not have another excuse (religious adjudications etc.)

So clearly we should see lot more approvals (not all approvals)

guys, hate to say this but every time we think that things will fly something or other comes in and we are screwed. In short cut I will see it when I believe. Also those whose FP1 expired like me, dengdeng and others we are in the worst situation. Lets not be in the fantasy world that we donot need 2nd FP, today I called NCSC and they said second FP is unavoidable. About religious worker, check this from www.immigration-law.com/ about religious workers bill

09/19/2003: Extended Closing of Federal Agencies in Washington Area Today and Religious Worker Bills Delay

Special immigration law for religious workers other than "minister" category will sunset at the end of September. The USCIS and the State Department have thus issued special policies to expedite the pending cases. However, there are a large number of pending cases that will remain unadjudicated. These pending cases will face denial unless two things happen in the next few days. The agencies must adopt a policy that until the Congress passes the extension bill, they will keep these cases alive even after October 1. Most importantly, the Congress must pass the extension bill as soon as possible.
In fact, the House has already passed H.R. 2152 that will extend the religious worker special immigration laws for the next five years and the Senate was also considering S.1580 to extend the sunsetting law. The immigrant community was hoping that these legislative bills would pass the Congress before the end of September, but the closing of Congress as affected by the hurricane causes a delay in the Congressional action. Please stay tuned to this web site for the development of this news next week when the Congress returns to the Hill.

I am not advising you to not do something that you are already planning to do.
Now I never said, that FP2 will not be reqd.(there might be a few cases where it might have not been done). However cases where FP is done should be cleared and there are many of those too.

Regarding religious workers please note that CSC and NSC are the ones mainly affected. VSC does not have this problem greatly.

WHAT MORE CAN I SAY TO CHEER YOU UP :)
