don't what the legal age is to apply for a EAD but you can only legally work after you turn 16 years old.

No mention of age to apply EAD..thats surprising

I searched USCIS website, I-756 form, FAQ's etc and I did not find LEGAL age to apply for EAD..It's surprising. I think you are saying Child Labor age is 16 by which child can work, only after when he/she becomes 16? Correct?

Some time back I read on this foram that there is no leagal age to apply EAD for a child. If a child is working as a model, he needs to have EAD.

- Does child labor law (16 years & up age) do not applies to some exception like mdelling etc

Basically, my child is not going to work but for his "Driviling Lisence" we need SSN as they are not accepting TIN# (Tax Identification Number).

In short, if I will have EAD for my child then I will get his SSN

Yes..

After approving ones EAD, USCIS informs SSN office that - "You are Authorized to work". When you will take your EAD to nearby SSN office, SSN office will check validity of your EAD, passport, current residentioan address & you will get SSN in mail in 8-10 days at your residential address..

Unless it has changed, the correct procedure in your case is to go to the Social Security office and request an SSN because it is needed for a driving licence application. You will then receive a letter stating that an SSN cannot be issued, and the driving licence people are supposed to accept this and issue the licence.
