I have a very unique problem (I am from India and applying for my I-485):
My FIRST name on birth certificate is "AAA BBB". Other than on the birth certificate, all other documents have my name as "AAA". I do not have an official name change document because my name was ALWAYS written as "AAA". I have these two options at my disposal:
1. Possibly get a new birth certificate with name "AAA".
2. Use the old birth certificate with name "AAA BBB" and attach an affidavit explaining why my name is "AAA BBB" on the birth certificate, even though all my other documents have my name as "AAA".
I must get the green card with my name "AAA" on it, since that is my real name.
Which option to select? Can you guys give your insights?
Please help!!! I just cannot make up my mind one way or the other.
Thanks and happy holidays to all of you!
