what's teh diiference between these 2 messages?

On my wife's case this is the latest online message:

On August 2, 2004, the fingerprints for your I485 Application to Register
Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were collected and are pending review.

And for my case, the messsage is:

On July 29, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485
Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received,
and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further
action is needed, or when a decision is made.

What is the difference between these two messages. We both did out FP's at a local police station on July 9th.

difference

your wife's: results do not back to INS from FBI yet
yourself: results back to INS from FBI, it's cleared.

Sometimes USCIS just does not update the status. I used to look at two exact same messages for a year - mine said "processing resumed", and my wife's was "pending review". It's nothing to worry about - my wife's status never changed to "processing resumed", but both our cases were approved at the same day.

well, there might be something to worry about. The best way to make sure is to call FBI...

Do not worry

I've had "FP received" message for 1 year and then I got approved - it never said my FP results were received!

Don't worry too much about these messages. Just like everything else in TSC the messages gets updated randomly and are sometimes not up-to-date. For example, my case has been approved but the message still shows that my "FP has been received and the processing has resumed . . .".

If there is any problem with your FPs, you will receive another notice pretty soon asking to do it again. If that has not happened, do not worry.
