What's next after 485 is approved?

I would like to know if someone can share what's next after 485 is approved ?

I mean,

Is the green card stamped in the passport or CIS will send it by mail?

What about an interview?

If the green card is stamped in the passport, does the passport needs to be up to date?

Schedule InfoPass appointment (through USCIS.GOV) and go to the local USCIS office (you will get address once you are scheduled).

You'll need to take the approval notice, passport, EAD (if you had one) and 2 passport-style photos. They will put a stamp in your passport (passport should be valid), which is a temporary authorization to work and travel back into country from abroad.

You will get your Green Card in 2-3 weeks after visiting the USCIS.

comp chem, may I ask a trivial question?

As far as EAD, I know they'll take the plastic card back, but do they also take back the mailer (which holds the EAD card) and the written approval notice for the EAD? thanks.

First of all, I haven't been at the local office yet (I scheduled appointment for next Tuesday). Thus, I do not even know if they will take the EAD back.

Second, if you do not bring the mailer and the EAD notice to them (which you don't need to), they won't take it. However, why would you need those pieces of paper??

My experience was that they do not take anything else other than the EAD(s) and the AP(s).
