Whatever happened with the visa # allocation

I thought/heard that the visa numbers were allocated to a number of 485 applications in the last week of June and those applications will be approved through October. And it seemed to be true until the mid of July but after that, the number of approvals seemed to be thin out and completely stopped now!!
So what's up with the so called "Visas allocated" theory? Is it just a chuffin rumor? or will there be another burst of approvals?
I hate to speculate organized chaos!!

I think there will be a approvals in coming days i.e during Aug and Sept.

Based on the number of people who are still to be approved in these forums, I seriously hope they will continue to adjudicate cases through these 2 months. Otherwise we may have stare down some steep retrogression in October.
