Whatever happened to the 50 odd new Adjudicators ...

... that were said to have been recruited?

I have been reading such reports since last August. I posted a question on this on some other thread that talked about slow speed of processing (and a recent halt in the same), but did not see any response to that.

Does anyone have any information on that?

There was a clear news item on Murthy.com sometime last August/September and Immigration-law.com had also said last month that there was a "thaw" in NSC (referring to the processing work), mentioning that the training of the new recruits was getting over.

stillwaiting2, some sites

try to sensensalize the whole immigration issues and try to draw
attention of us poor non-immigrations. immigration-law.com thinks that they give very accurate info but 80% of time the lawyer there sits on his butt and types his own jargons and opinions. I think this is just a shitty way of filling out his webspaces. He can surely turn breaking new title into some
'relevant news' or just 'news'.

...I am not sure about whether immigration-law does what. However, I have seen these news items on Murthy too and Immigration-law.com. In fact, now that I went to double check the older news items on Murthy.com, I found some information that sounded inconsistent. Here, check the following links.

1.
http://murthy.com/UDnsc702.html [Dated Aug. 16, 2002 (after all I was not all that off the mark on date!)]

[This (read second paragraph under "IBIS Delays", thoroughly) says that NSC has hired 150 more adjudicators!]

2.
http://murthy.com/UDnsc402.html [Dated May 24, 2002]

[This one (last item "Faster Server?" says NSC has hired 2 or 3 and is expected to add 4 or 5 more].

Check the following one out...
3.
http://murthy.com/UD02nscup.html [Dated June 28, 2002]

[This one says (under the last item "Changes" - 2nd para.) that NSC will triple it's phone lines! And that would be of no use now, since everything has been centralized!]

I am glad I could substantiate the information I was providing!

And after all this, we are ...

hey, pal, take it easy on matthew oh of www.immigration-law.com...

i have found his website an excellent source of information on the subject of immigration. his commentries are very illuminating, and go a long way in helping his readers make sense of some of the new developments.

in my opinion, his website is a very valuble resource. but that's just my opinion... :)

I agree Pork, this is a good site. Unfortunately, the tidbit I read today is not so good:

06/10/2003: EB-485 Processing in Snail Pace

The EB-485 filers are continuously experiencing frustration from the backlog of their applications. The exact reasons are not known from any sources, but at least one sources indicate that EB-485 cases will not move any better at least until the new fiscal year, October 1, 2003. Ya, ya, ya......

Could Operations please confirm...

the validity of any Adjudication officers (and the number thereof) recruited in NSC ins the past 12 months (as found on the Murty.com site - Links given in one of my postings above)?

This is just for the benefit of forum readers and any one in Immigrant community in general.

Everyone is hanging in their hopes to get their cases picked up and processed (without much information available).

Any new information would help and would also add a point or two to the letter(s) talked about in "Pork, Ghee...its Time To Roll..." (link http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?postid=507943#post507943).

Thanks.
