what would the impact be?

Hi,

I have had my 485 filed by attorney A with a rd or 12/01.
2 sets of fp later, like the many others out there I am still waiting some sort of action from the efficient body that process these applications.
In the interim my company decide to chaneg immigration policies and lawyers. I have received a document with the new guidelines and which include the following..

".... in order to ensure that there will be no interruption to you immigration processing... sign....."

So, here is my question. What exactly might the interruption be? After all wouldn't all the rfe's or anything else related to the 485 be returned to attorney A? Hopefully he will then forward it to me?

The only issue i can see is perhaps when its time for a new AP or EAD, and at this rate it wouldn't surprise me if I had to apply for my 3rd round of each of those.

A little side note, anyone else think that this delay in processing our applications is perhaps so that they can generate some revenue and thereby make a lame attempt to ease the budget crisis.. ;-)
After all new EAd's and FP's and the likes do add up, so to does the use of fedex and other delivery services to get the docs back and forth.

Thanks in advance.

sickofit,
As soon as you know your lawyer going to be, ask him to file G-28. Nowadays BCIS generating RFE for old cases. If you don't file G-28. RFE may go to the old address.

With you best of luck.
