What would happen if we open service request with USCIS ?

Hi Guys,

The lady at USCIS was so cool and helped me to file service request which I did not expect since I called USCIS casually to know where is my 485 status, she did not tell me any status but she has filed service request to USCIS and it would take 30 days for USCIS to get back to me with follow up for any addtional evidence and status of my case.

I am wondering, would it trigger my name check pending process or they will come back after one month with same good old status saying that your case is pending with "Name Check process". I am curios to know about this from your experiances.

FYI - Filed 485 in Sept 2006, I140 approved and , TX , RIR , EB2, PD is Nov 2002, got EAD. Waiting for 485 approval.

I appreciate your inputs on this.

You are likely to get a standard reply..if ur name check is already completed, then you may get 'visa not available' reply (because of EB2 unavailability from Aug).
