what will happen if one being laid off right before interview

with 180d rules, can one still get approved even if there is no job when interview?

if one being laid off (pass 180 days from RD of 485) right before the interview and had not found another job yet, would he or she still get approved?

Any inputs please?

have you consult with lawyer yet?

I think you at least should have job offer letter, otherwise I don\'t think INS will approve your case until you have new job.

does one have to start allover again, or just pending untill gets a job?

I am worried, I hope will never happen to me, just want to know where I am standing.

Thanks

It is almost impossible to find a job before Interview

So do you think if the 180 days limit passes, can the I-485 get approved?

Thanks

How will you show that you will not become a public charge if you have no job?

The GC that we\'re talking about is employment based, therefore there must be "employment". No job raises public charge concerns and will likely lead to denial in any event.

There is another explanation..

As you said:"laid off right before interview", you will not have problems with paystubs. You can request a job letter before your laid-off and after your interview notice (the notice will come to you weeks earlier than your interview appointment). But if your \'right before\' means a period more than your pay cycle + extended payments time and you have been too bad with your \'x\'-employer to get a letter, you need to find job before interview. Otherwise, you will be starting over again.

the ins can pend the decision

The ins could pend the decision, and prove it after the cadidate get a job.

Thanks

What???? You mean ins pend the case @ interview time?

Don\'t have the naiive dream! @ interview time, you will be sentenced either approved or denied. If denied, you still have opptunity to reopen your case. The offset will be time and money. That\'s it.

could one reopen the case?

if one could reopen the case after finding a job, would that mean he or she doesn\'t need to start over from the begining?

thanks

But that doesn\'t mean he/she is assure to save time and/or money. It will depends on his/her luck.
