what will happen if got lay-off when I485 is pending?

Hi guys,

I am one of the oldest case here, EB2, PD July 2001, and my I485 is pending because of the name check. I have advance parole document and EAD. however, what will happen if I get lay-off from my job? Am I out of status right away, or, since my I495 is pending, I can still take time to find another job?

I have same questions!

I am in the same position too. My guess is we are OK as long as USCIS don't ask for a letter from our current employer if we donot have a job. If we lose this job and find a "Similar" job then we are OK. It seems we are not out of status if we are on I-485 (pending adjustment) status, but should hold a job till the adjustment is made.

Am I right ?
