what will happen if an applicant forgets a page of Form I-485?

This may not be possible to happen, but just curious.
There are 4 pages for I-485, if an applicant forgets page 2 and mails only 3 other pages to INS, what will happen? Can he file again if his case is denied? What does a denial mean? It means the denied applicant will have to file another I-140?
 
Not screwed up ..

1. If the INS didn\'t notice the mistake, they will issue a receipt. Then the applicant can send the missing papers along with the copy of the receipt and a letter stating the reasons to include these docs in the I-485 file.
2. If the INS notices the mistake, then they will send the application back without issuing a receipt. Then, the applicant can refile I-485.

I think there different ways to handle these kinds of human errors. Ask your attorney for options. Good luck!
