What to expect after EB3 485 interview...

Hi all,

I just had my 485 interview in Hartford, CT. All went very well considering I was paranoid and lost a lot of sleep beforehand. My main question is this. The officer verbally said my application was approved but because of the number of visa numbers has run out for F2005 I will have to wait until F2006 (Oct this year).

Now, I am from Canada. When can expect to get the actual physical greencard in my hands? I see a lot of talk on here about the retrogression for India but wondering what "wait time" Canada has. I want to change jobs very badly and don't want to make a move until I have this inhand. At this point since my interview is done can I make the change?

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

so you belong to other countries category, so EB3 cut-off date is 3/1/01.
Of course you can change your job as long as you have already waited 180 days or 6 months after you filed your I-485.
