this is my case and question:
I received green card in 2007 through marriage. Been married, and lived in Illinois since than until July 2012 when I moved to Tennessee to start medical school but I kept my Illinois residence address and id and driving licence and car registration and insurance . due to personal reason ( sickness of my wife) i moved back to Illinois in May 2013 and in July I applied for citizenship. I had interview in October but was told that decision can not be made because they have to contact TN FBI to check if I was not arrested there or did not have any problems. I just received letter of denial today saying that I did not reside in the state of Il for 90 days. I am so angry because I even did not know about this rule and additionally I only moved to school temporary. Now they want me to file N-336 and pay 605$ ! that is crazy . should I do it or just file another application and pay the fee. I am afraid if new officer also deny than I will have to pay $605 and later 700 ( or whatever is application for N400). Should I go to immigration court instead? I do not want to pay additional fees only because of lousy officer who did not listen to what I was saying. it looks like they just want more money .
