what to do with Sponsor Views?

Hi everybody,
I applied for J-1 waiver in July 06. The online status says that my case received everything but Sponsor Views. I have no idea what it is and if I need to do anything to provide them.
I tried calling DOS to talk to an officer but the answering system doesn’t let me through saying my case # does not exist; though I can check it online.
Would appreciate your help.

You need to contact the office that sent you your DS-2019 ASAP. See whoever signed your form and contact them and tell them that the DOS has requested their views and you need to know if there is anything you need to provide them. Ask them what is their policy on favorable views? Let us know what you find out. The DOS will not be of any help at this point.

Well,

May be your case got stuck somewhere....even at DOS, it takes a while for them top update cases. I know of few cases that got lost or stalled like yours. But since JULY is a very long time. Typically, a sponsor view shouldn't take more than a month or two at most, granted few took way longer. Like the previous post stated, contact your sponsor (should be noted on your DS forms). If it is a government US agency (USAID, Fulbright, etc...), just forget contacting them, you'll get nothing from them, and if so simply wait or try contacting DOS. Worst case scenario get a lawyer involved, they know how to contact your sponsor and/or DOS directly, and I wouldn’t consider that right away though.

Good luck,

The State Department gives the sponsor 90 days to respond to its request for views. Since your case status states that sponsor views have been "requested", make sure that your international office received the request and responded to it. If so, then sit tight.

many thanks, I really appreciate your advices. I will let you know what happens as soon as I get responces.
