Am currently on H1B. Spouse is a Permanent Resident and we have applied for the family-based GC.
If I get laid off, it sounds as if the only option open to me is to change status to a B1.
Spouse is likely to get citizenship within a couple of months. If i change my status to B1, will that impact my ability/ timing of the process for me to file for an Adjustment of Status?
