What to do about lawyer if changing job

Hi Fellows,

If anyone has had an experience where you are changing jobs and the lawyer is attached to the current company.

What did you have to do. I am not sure how long my AOS will take, it has been pending for more than 2 year , I am in a spot where I am looking to change my job.

If the lawyer does not agree to continue working on my application if I leave my current company what are my options. Please suggest.

Also is there any implication if I leave my current employer

Check with your lawyer

if you can continue with him/her. I did the same (my previous company didn't object using the same lawyer). I had to pay for replying to RFE though.
 
i dumped my lawyer

if u change companies u dont really need lawyer.

But u have to make sure he can be trusted to forward
u the RFE notice once he gets it.

In my case the lawyer quit the law firm but they still

sent me registered mail of my RFE.


Give them ur email phone # and address

and inform them if u r goin to change ur apt

I replied to RFE without lawyer.

In my reply i didnt even mention AC21

just EVL and w2

got approved rite away

dont inform them when u change ur job

Please could you let me know what does it mean that you did not have to mention AC21. Is this something that is filed or was filed by your lawyers. and Is this a form I should be requesting from my current lawyers just in case.

AC21 is the law that lets u change jobs after 180days after filing 485


when i replied to my RFE i didnt even mention the fact
i had changed jobs under AC21

I jusr replied with what they asked for

EVL and 3 years of W2
 
EVL

since the RFE required that the job be permanent
and be 40hrs a week

my EVL had just my title which was the same as b4
and said it was a permanant job working for 40hrs /week

EVL didnt even include my salary

But i did have last 3 w2 which collobarate
i guess that was enuff for them


I provided them with exactly what they wanted
nothin more or nothing less.
