What time of the day do you get the "approval e-mails"?

Hi,

This is obviously a studid question from a distraught guy, who has been anxiously waiting for I-485 approval:-)

For those of you who have already received I-485 approvals, when do you usually get those e-mails in your inbox - morning or in the evenings?

My PD (EB1, Jan 31, 2005) became current on May 1 (LUD 04/27/06). I keep on checking my e-mails every day for the magic approval e-mail but don't see it...:-(

Hi Ajay,

I guess the emails can be sent at any time as they are obviously system generated..
I got my 485 approval emails at 4:43AM... I am pretty sure no one was working in VSC at that time :):)
 
Desperately waiting

I am in the same boat as you are. My mind goes crazy all the time. I could not take this out of my mind. My PD became current since March 1st. My NC cleared,and I did bio on 5/8/06. I dont know how long they will take to approve my case. Finally I heard was, in the process of assigning to an officer.

Just waiting for the emails, and checking almost all the time.

How did u confirm the NC is complete, did u see a LUD/mesg stating the same or u called in and found out?
 
The senator's office sent out a mail saying FBI called and said my nc is cleared and was trasmitted to USCIS. Also, we called up USCIS and they also confirmed the receipt. I did not see any LUD recently.

hOW DO YU GUYS TALK TO SOME ONE @ USCIS AND GET ANY INFO ?

Whenever I call , I hardly get the option to talk to a living human being. Even in the even I get someone ... they just read the website .. thats all

try this....

Usually these people are the Immigration Officers. They act smart, saying this line is not for pending cases, you have to select other options. But tell them, yah, I know, I do check online, and I know what is in their. But I need to know more details about NC, or what ever is your question. EVERYTHING YOU SHOULD SAY IN A VERY CALM AND POLITE MANNER with a voice which will make them to help you. (use all the curse words by muting the phone).

I did tell them, it is time for my FP, and they sent, and once I found out my case is in a EB3 category file, But I am a EB2 category, and made them to change that.

What ever is your question, keep talking to them.

I always use this trick and worked. Good luck.
 
I called uscis. The lady sounded polite and nice. I pretended like I am new to this world. As my case was re-opened due to USCIS Motion. .. She said that my case was recently reviewed and its in the Re-view que and NOT in the bacKlog.

I re-asked her about generating an enquiry, then she said "as usuall" the website has all the info. She said my case was recently reviewed

When was your I-140 approved?

My I-140 (EB1 OR) was approved on November 16, 2005. I had filed my I-485 concurrently with I-140 (PD = Jan 31, 2005). Still waiting for I-485 approval. My PD (India) has been current since May 1, 2006 (LUD = 4/27/06).
