What the heck could they want?? (RFE)

Ugh! I went through my application with a fine tooth comb making sure I got everything required. I soent a week looking over that puppy before I sent it. Today I check my status online and see a notice saying they've sent a notice for more evidence/information for my I-485

I promised myself I wouldn't freak out if this happened but now (of course) I'm all trying to figure out what it could be they need and it's driving me up the wall (so this is what it's like). I sent in the medical, I-864 (2, we even got a joint sponsor) birth certificates, passport copies, I-94 copy, marriage licence, g325a, EVERYTHING!! And I'm from English speaking Canada, so everything I sent was in English. Now it's tearing at me and it will keep doing so until I get that damn letter in the mail.

Anyways, I guess I'm posting because I was wondering if there are any thoughts on what it might be. I of course don't expect anyone to know for sure, especially when you know nothing about my case, but I guess I want to hear what some people have had requested of them even though they did a pretty good job on the application. Maybe that will calm me down (or possibly upset me more.) I'm just hoping they didn't lose something (like the medical) or that they're not requesting something that might be a pain to get.

Did you send only one G-325A? You should have sent 2, one for you, one - for your spouse.

Don't worry, I included everything aswell and stil got an RFE. They wanted my birth cert and a copy of our tax return (2005) which I had included in the original filing. I know it can delay the process abit, but patience is a virtue with the USCIS.

Just get the requested info back to them ASAP and there shouldn't be to much of a delay in your case.

Yeah, I'm figuring they lost something, or maybe, just maybe there's something I missed. But I looked through my copies and couldn't find anything. Oh well. Just wait and see I guess.

Looked online again today and saw there was a LUD for my 485 for today, and then LUD for 765 and 130 on Saturday the 19th. While I want my GC as soon as possible (like everyone else) I guess my concern is more for my EAD right now. I'll be much happier with that guy in my hands.

Well, I got my RFE in the mail and I'm somewhat annoyed. They're requesting additional evidence for the I-864. This includes W2s, 1099's and/or schedules, federal income tax returns for the most recent tax year, and evidence of current employment.

The pain of it is we submitted all this crap already. Except for the W2s since she worked in Canada. We even submitted an explanation and even copies of her T4 slips (Canadian W2 equivilant)

But they don't seem to specify who needs to send this stuff in. We had a joint sponsor as well. So should I just send in everything again for both? Ugh, how annoying.

I bet, they didn't even look at your explanation letter.
To be on a safe side, you do need to submit everything they are requesting one more time...
Good luck!

Well, I sent everything overnight on Tuesday and according to the USPS tracking page it was delivered at 11:30am yesterday. So, should I expect my LUD to update with info saying they received it? Still hasn't yet (man, I'm usually patient but with this stuff if it doesn't happen instantaneously I find myself becoming incredibly frusterated :) )

I sent my RFE back on the 25th, got there on the 28th via USPS Priority. I had a LUD on the 31st saying USCIS received it on the 30th. So I'd guess you'll get a LUD on Monday or Tuesday.

Okay, they marked today (9/11/06) as the date they received my RFE. But what the heck does this mean??

However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

Means you don't have to count the day they got the RFE as the processing date for your case. Its a good thing - less delays. :)

If I'm up on my internet slang, the correct term to be used here would be: w00t!!!

:)
