I think that is because there is no accurate time line for that. It all varies from cases to cases and locations. Why don't you create a profile/signature with your case details (see mine). Then it's easier for others to answer.

Mine is EB3 & TSC. My RD for I485 is Aug.2004 and I recieved FP notice 4 months after.

Your case is also different since your PD is current. You may get it very quick. But since your RD is February, give it a few week and if you don't recieve any FP notice, contact you ASC and talk to them if you could make an appointment for FP. Sometimes walk-in to a non-crowded ASC gets the job done but your application will have to be ready for a FP.

I got my first FP notice 16 months after my I-485 application was filed, and the second FP notice was 31 months after the I-485 application was filed. As jambalakadi1 mentioned, the range is way to huge to be of eny use to make a prediction.

thats because you had to search instead of asking the question that had been asked and answered many-many times before.
Typing "FP notice" in the search field and doing some (maybe a lot) reading would give you more than accurate answer. Of course, it takes a lot of reading, but then again it's YOU who needs the info...
Cheers!
BTW, it took 2 weeks to get FP notice from VSC.

What's so difficult in sharing YOUR knowledge, hemanth.balla? --Registered 10 months ago and only 13 posts. Hmmm... That's classic.

as many said before, it is unclear. There is no valid time frame. I got my first FP notice only a month after my I-485 Receipt Date. Then I received another one because 15 months passed...and nothing (no approval) so I had them done again. Now almost three years later (from the first ones), I've received a Biometrics code 3 notification. So as you can see every case is so different from the other.

But, with you PD (priority date "the most important thing right now") being current, you might receive a notice very soon and get approved very soon after that.
VSC processing time is 12/2004 so if you applied before that (I assume) you'll be at the finish line very very soon my friend.

hey balla

when did u filed ur I-485, what city are you in? which service center?
is ur labor substitution? is it concurrent?

I am EB3/India

Hi Jambalakadi,
I am in Dallas, service center is VSC,mine is substitution labor.I-485 received date is Feb 1st, 2006.my doubt is
1.will USCIS update our status once they send FP notice(bcaz I am yet to receive them),
2.What if we don't receive FP?shall we go and give directly?
3.Is there any timeframe for FP?
Thanks in advance....

are you sure you at VSC? Dallas sounds more like a TSC to me...
1. No it will not.
2. You may try, sometimes it works
3. More than a month i'd be worried. VSC rep told to someone on the forum that they send FP to applicants whom they expect to approve in 15 month (given that name check will clear in timely manner). If your PD is not current, FP might take longer

Hi

Hi Michvin,
My PD is April 99/EB3 and visa date is current since Jan 2006.If we don't receive FP within a month,
please explain..since I am in Dallas now...
1.In which office we can go and give FP?
2.do we need to get appointment for FP?

Its usually at an ASC (Application Support Center)

Yes. But you can't make the appointment on your own. If you call the Customer Support line, they won't do it for you. Infopass won't do it for you. The only way is for the officer handling your case to issue a FP request. If you go to the ASC without a FP request, they'll turn you away. You can always try to get a Congressman to expedite your FP request, but that is not guaranteed either.

i guess you moved in process? then i don't know what happens - a case is transferred?
1.local office (ASC) - you can find an address on a uscis web site
2. no, but the success depends on the load there. if there's too much people with appointments they might turn you down.
search for "walk-in FP" here.

FP depends upon what address you have provided on file. If its dallas address you will get a letter from VSC to go for FP in dallas area ASC.

Hi hemanth.balla,

Have you already got your medicals done and submitted them along with I-485 Application? AS normally in substitution cases it saves a lot of time if you submit medicals with I-485. Did you concurrently filed for I-140 and EAD also?
I filed concurrently in March 2005 and recieved FP Notice in first week May 2005.

It's the I-140 for EB3 substituion cases that takes a long time to get approved - in my case it took almost 11 months to get approved - this has nothing to with PD becoming current....

Hi

Akash,
My medicals were done and submitted along with I-485.this is not concurrent filing, my I-140 is substitution labor.I am just waiting for FP notice.

So, you have your own I140 cleared with the Sub LC?
