What other privileges/changes come with marriage? (Other than GC application)

I have a general question about getting married. What are the things that change after getting married? What I'm referring to are things like a couple's credit ratings get averaged out and such. What rights/privileges do I 'lose' as a single person after marriage? What do I gain?

Your credit ratings only merge if you apply for credit together. As long as you keep separate accounts, your ratings stay separate.
