I have applied I-485 in Nov-2002 (NSC) as dependent ( my husband is primary applicant). My 6 years for H1B was up last year. Currently I am working on my EAD. My AP will expires in first week of Sept and I have applied for second AP:::::My question is that if I didn’t get AP approved by the first week of Sept and if I have to go back to Canada in
Emergency, what options I have to come back to US.

Simple answer: Don't travel without valid AP.
You run the risk of abandoning your AOS petition if you enter without showing the AOS receipt.
And am not sure if visa waiver rules apply to those showing AOS receipt ( I though waiver is only for temporary business and tourist visits ).

Don't risk it.

I am not planning to go to Canada, but in case of emergency If I have to go, in that case can I do the consulate processing.
