Did you use regular USPS? FedEx? registered mail? are there any rules or limitations on what mail you can use?
thank you/

Use USPS certified mail with proof of delivery. For one it is cheaper ($6), it is safe and you have the proof of delivery. FedEX and UPS will not work with the official PO Box address.

i sent the application via USPS priority mail with tracking number and signature confirmation.

Regular first class mail with no bells or whistles.

Registered, Certified, Signature Confirmation, etc. will not help and will only cause delays. In short, you pay more to get a delay. Priority is unecessary too b/c since you are mailing regionally, chances are that it will be received the same day anyway.

This is not a filing that you may need to prove it was timely made. Any receipt will do no good if it is misplaced, and you'll get real confirmation whne they send the receipt and cash the check.... if they don't, ask yourself: what are you going to do? Refiling or trying to argue the USCIS with your USPS receipts in hand? Refiling of course.

Sent certified with return receipt last week.
Mailed Oct 3 (monday) to VSC (from MA)
Got the return receipt back on saturday (oct 8) with the USCIS stamp date Oct 5 (wed). Ofcourse, as mentioned, return receipt does not help in anyway, but still did it! The check is not yet cleared though.
