What kind of RFEs one can expect during I485?

Hello All,

If I140 is approved and 485 is pending more than 180 days, then what are the risks in changing employer? I would like to know what kinds of RFEs one can expect during I485 stage? I am aware of the following common RFE:

1. Proof of new job being in the same or similar field

Will there be any RFE for "Ability to Pay" from new employer if your I140 is approved from previous (GC Sponsoring) employer?

Will there be any documents necessary to obtain from previous (GC Sponsoring) employer if one receives RFE in I485 stage and has changed employer?

I am weighing the risk of changing my employer and would appreciate any feedback from knowledgeable people here.

Once you've used AC-21 and changed employers the new employer becomes your "sponsor".
I wouldn't think that you would need docs from the old employer as they are not relevant to the case any longer.

You can get a ability to pay RFE - but its uncommon. With the new AC21 wording, they may look back at the approved 140 to make "sure" it is ok.
 
These RFEs I can see during 485 from this forum

I scanned 485 RFEs in this forum and see the following different 485 RFEs:

1. Remedical (error from physician in updating forms!!)

2. Incorrect Immigrant Photographs

3. Please submit a new employment letter from your current employer that specifies your position, date of hire, and salary, Please also submit your W2s for last 3 years

4. Please submit a letter from ex-Employer, establishing the petitioend for job is till being offered to you

5. Proof of legal statuses (Pay stub, I94, etc)

6. Submit vaccination records for the family

I don't think submitting any of these RFEs is a big issue except for the no. 4 above.

How many of us have received RFEs with no. 4 above? This is the one which stops me from switching over the job.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. If anyone knows of any other RFE not listed above, then please post in this thread.
