What kind of checks they do for Experience letters

Gentleman,
Does anybody here have any experience of USCIS calling or contacting your previous employers for any kind of verification. One of my previos employers have closed their business and other have moved to a different location.

Thanks in advance.

i answered this Q earlier.
For one of my friends, on the interview officer told her that they will verify her current employment (even though she had fresh EL) and then approve her case within 2 weeks, for some reason they told even though she had EL they must call employer and verify. She was on EB3.
She received approval letter 2 weeks after interview.
This did not happen in my case, EL was ok and enough on the interview in the same local office (baltimore) (I was NIW).

Thanks for your answers, but my questions still remains, i.e. has anybody heard of any case when the USCIS tried to contact previous employers. Since I am not getting many answers, I'm guessing it is a good news.

I think sometime in 2000 or 2001 I knew a guy whose 140 was denied after they found that his experience letters were fake. I heard he left because he was barred for 10 years something like that ... I dont know the name of the company but they I think everyone from that company was denied .. this was in Delaware
