Gurus, your help please!! My I-140 has been approved and I-485 has been pending for 9 months. I recently got a job offer. But I am wondering if the new job is a SIMILAR job to my current one and how INS evaluates it (similar or not).
I currently work for a company as a Civil Engineer. The new position is a Research Associate position in civil engineering at a university. The new position is permanent and full-time. The new job duties cover those of my current job plus more, as the new position is more senior than my current job. Salary will be a little more than my current salary.
Will my pending I-485 be okay if i change to this job?
