what is your status after approval before interview

My case is approved but I haven't been through the interview yet. My OPT status expires in a couple of months. If by then I haven't got the green card can I still live and work in the country?

once you file that I-485 you are entitled to a work permit

if you havn't done so already get that work permit renewed.

with a pending I-485 you can live and work in the US for as long as it is pending
