What is this mean?

I aplied for I-756 and I-485 with ND of Apr-18-06. and becouse it is more than 30 days from 90 day period I call them.
Today I tried to get information about my case by calling National call Center.
Lady that answered took all my information and gave me some kind of reference No. and told me that I should recive decision in 3-4 weeks.When i asked why is taking so long she said that she can not talk to me about it.
This made me very nervouse. Is this normal to take this long?Any expiriences?

This is normal because of the RFE's.

There are 2 things you can do .
1. Check your status online .
2. Schedule an Infopass and find out the status of your case .
3. You can write to the National Ben Cent , be sure to include copies of your Notice of actions .
 
Thank you for advise. I wander is this normal to pass this much time whit out EAD a and what that reference No. mean?

Your reference number is what you will use if you need to call back about the same issue.

It does seem like it took them nearly 2 mos to request further evidence on the I-485, but these days nothing seems "standardized" at the NBC. Your RFEs were only accepted a couple of weeks ago, so you'll need to give them a bit more time to process your EAD now. You can check the sticky thread posted at the top of the Forum called "EAD after RFE" to check the timeline of other people who have had the same experience.
