what is the validity date on your EAD renewal?

I got the 4th EAD today. But the validity date starts from 07/31/07..My third EAD is valid till DEC 9th 2007. So basically I lost 4 months.., the new EAD validity should have been DEC 10th 2007.Have to apply for the renewal again after 6 months...What a waste. Are they just considering this EAD as money making machine..Any body in the same boat??

Why have you applied so early

If your EAD expires in 4 months, why you applied so early. Have you sent the documents 6 months in advance?

The practice on EAD approvals, at least at NSC is to set EAD effective date to be the same as the approval date. The EAD expires in one year

Well that is the moronity of the sitiuation.....they say you must apply 60-90 days in advance of expiration date.....then when you do it gets approved in 30 days and you lose the 60 days.....well personally I would lose the 2 months than be in the position where I dont have a new EAD to work. Simple math tells us that a single EAD costs us 35$/mo. if you lose your job how much do we stand to lose? ........Two words.....CASH COWS

Actually I take my words back....USCIS is doing better now...my bad. Received my EAD today and it had the starting dates as the day AFTER my OLD EAD ended.....so actually I dont Lose anytime ....yayyyyy.....thank god SOMEBODY at the USCIS is thinking in our favor......
