What is the max. waiting time after case has been assigned?

When I called up an IIO in May, she told me that my case (RD - 8/15) was assigned to an officer on 4/29. She asked me tol wait for 2 months.
Though I am not sure if her information about my case being assigned is correct, I would like to know if the 60 day waiting time seems reasonable or is it usually more?
