You certainly can leave, but you have to LIVE in the US and not elsewhere. The determination is made based on number of days you stay outside the US by CBP each time you cross the border.

My uncle is a Japanese Citizen and green card holder, he lives and travels constantly between the two countries. More like staying in Japan 1/3 of the year and the rest in the United States.

LoveAmerica it is true you can live the US at anytime and come back. But not when you just enter the US thru GC,you have to stay a while like 2 to 3 yrs before you can live the US and come back but It is not a must thing, but can also affect you from being citizenship.Only the European people that i know they only cares about the GC and not caring about being citizenship. They cares about there native citizenship. That is why they like going back to there countries to visit family, friends often.European doesn't cares much about the US like the Africans,Asians,South Americans,Oceania.

OK your English made no sense and you can live up to 6 months outside the United States and lots of people do it. I don't recall a law saying you have to live up to "2-3 years" in the US before they trust you to leave. I think somebody may have been telling you a little bit of porky pies!

So there is no problem at all with leaving the United States a number of times, many people do it. Just if you plan on going over 6 months you need to apply for authorization to stay outside the US for over 6 months, if not then it's perfectly alright to leave the US for up to 6 months and come back.

If you are Canadian citizen, you don't qualify to apply for DV lottery. You been drinking too much KoolAid.

I'd just like to add that even if you were born in an ineligible country, if both your parents were, at the time of your birth, not permanent residents of the ineligible country but were citizens of an eligible one, then you can still enter as a native of that country.
