If I were you - BUT THIS IS MY OPINION - I would apply in APRIL since you are in the 15000 range.

Based on the visa bulletin progression (they've been adding around 1500 visas each month), your number should become current in July and my understanding is that DV winners are allowed to apply 3 months in advance of their number becoming current.

Oh, well, if danijelabnza is doing CP you're right! Nothing to do but wait...

But for all of you out there doing AOS, I would apply early and I would NOT apply for EAD, advance parole and blah, blah, blah because it does not make any sense since the application goes reasonably fast and applying for additional stuff will only delay your application.

But, again, that's my opinion ;)

Danijelabnza, what you can do is prepare all your papers in advance. Be ready for when your number become current.

Also, I really think that your number will be current in July. That gives you enough time to go through the whole process since the CP is also quite fast.

Hi Marvadur, I note you suggest to Danijelabnza that "your number will be current in July..." could you guess if AF320XX will make it? I have tried to do the math but its stressing me so an external opinion will be appreciated. And any one else out there can comment please. thanks

Charleston, for Africa, the cut off numbers have been increasing since 11/05:

Nov + 1500
Dec + 1500
Jan + 2500
Feb + 2600
Mar + 2750
Ap + 3450

If the trend continues, your number could be current around July/August.

But this is just a guess... I wish you good luck Charleston :)
 
Marvadur, Thanks for your response. I guess I just wanted to hear someone tell me that. Lets hope the trend continues it would be a shame to get the 1st letter and not a chance for the interview. Good luck to you too in whichever stage you are on.
