Both my wife and my cases were interviewed approved in the beginning of June, 2005 in Boston office.

Since then, it is lenghty waiting. When I walked in Boston in Oct, the officer let me file I89 again. I wonder they just lost my I89;

When my wife walked in Boston office in Dec, they said they would request the record from the record center and filed I89;

I have called 1-800 four times and walked in Boston office three times. More weird things and different answers coming from Boston office:

1. Jan 31 letter said my case was approved in June, 2005;
2. Feb 1 letter said my case was still pending;
3. Feb 24 the officer said my case was approved in Feb 2006.

Boston office used A# and always said my case was approved;
1-800 used EAC# and always said my case is pending;
Even second letter from Boston office said my case is pending;

My attorney always filed request the ombudsman more than 1 month ago but no response.

I wonder whether we have some stronger ways to fight for this since I strongly believe sb just made some mistakes in my files and nobody likes to know this problem. I don't worrry about 1 year or 2 years but worry about forever.

Do we have some legal ways for my status?

if ur case is aproved. did u get approval notice? You can always request for one. then schedule appointment and get the passport stamped for I551.
Then they will send finger printing again. and you will get the cards 2 weeks after finger printing. why do you care about other statuses if A# says its approved. Just ask them to send a duplicate approval notice of I-485..

No, We have no approval notice since we are interviewed and told by the officer in her office.
First of all, I am 100% sure Boston office lost my first I89 form;
Second, I am pretty sure they put my second I89 form aside.

For the second, the reason as:
My wife had to file her second I89 form on Feb 24, 2006. She has received plastic card now.
I filed my second I89 form in Oct, 2005 and have received nothing.

That is just like a ball: Boston office said my case is in Vermont Center; USCIS calling center said I should go back to Boston office.

Even my card is received, I will need to complain in some ways since they wasted too much time.
