Hi Everyone,

If I were to petition my wife together with my mom, what should be my income?
I undestand that If I were to petition my wife, I need atleast 125% of the povety line now, but what if I were to petition them both at the same time?
Please give me an approximate amount of what should I be earning?
My annual income is USD 40,000. Is it enough to petition them both? If not, what is my option? should I petition one at a time?

hey i have a same question regarding this poverty line chart.

if you are living alone (just for your own self 1 person) you should be making atlest 10,830.

what if you are making less then i know you will need a co-sponsor to reach that target in order to get a co-sponsor he should be making 125% above poverty line what does this mean? so if co-sponsor making 18,310 then add 25% to it that will be 22,887 is this how it works i suppose.

and does it matter if you have already sponsored some one in the past and doing it again for seperate person? will that hurt the case?
 
From what I undstand, if you live alone with no ther dependents on your tax return and you live in the 48 states. You need an income of at least $18212.50 to petition one person. You are correct, just add 25% to the proverty guideline.

A co-sponsor's income will depends on how many dependents on his/her tax return and if he/she had co-sponsored other ppl in the past. Let say a co-sponsor have sponsored 1 person in the past and that person has not become a USC yet and the co-sponsor has 2 dependents. The co-sponsor will have 3 household members, 1 sponsorship..which will be counted as 4 members.

and if you are making nearly 10 something a year then you will definatley need a co- sponsor i think, thanks i am looking to read more of these topics.
