What is the FBI number for Background Checks

I believe there are two different numbers for FBI. One is for the status of fingerprints where one can speak to a rep right away. The other is the number you call to check the background status being cleared.

That is the one where the FBI calls you back after a few days. Would anyone have that number?

FBI Name/background check # is 202-324-2399

Finger print check status is (304) 625 5590 or 304-625-2406
 
For verifying FP results, yes it is A# number which they ask.

I am not sure for Name/Background check. so far my call is not returned.
just called yesterday.
 
what you do in this case is to file a law suit , im going to do the same thing , they have approved my case but NY CIS said , they are waiting for name check , which is crap
 
This whole thing is scary. Law suite is going to take 6 months in such a scenario. Even if they send you the approval letter, you still don't know if it is for sure.
