What is the difference between EAC and ESE

My I-140 was recevied by INS on 09/20/2001 with the tracking number ESE01127XXXXXX in EB3 category. All the post that I see here has a number starting with EAC. Is there any difference?

I think somebody just made a mistake in noting down the number.
Think about \'AC\' sounds like \'SE
