What is the difference between AOS and I485. Are they two different documents or one and the same ?

You can file your Permanent Resicdency by AOS(Adjustment Of Status) Or By Cosular Processing. I-485 is the application name for AOS. To apply for AOS you have to be in in USA, for consular processing you can apply from abroad also!
