What is the complete process of E-2 to Green card - HELP ME!!

Hi everyone,
Would anyone help me out?
I am currently in E2 visa. I have an offer of a job from another company. It's very crucial for me. I don't want to miss it.
What is the way to work immediately while having E2 visa status?? what is the process to get green card?
Someone told me that first apply for PERM, get your EAD and then apply for Green card. Is that it?? if yes, how much easy is that and when can I start work?? I want to work IMMEDIATELY.
Please let me know the whole process and with time duration.

Are you the main E visa holder or dependent ?

If you have been offered a job the employer will need to sponsor you for a H1B or if you are dependent E visa holder you may apply for work autho then work for this company
 
The sponsoring company must first apply for PERM (Labor Certificate), after completing the proper recruitment steps. Upon PERM approval, you can file the I-140. Once your category is current in the visa bulletin the I-485 may be filed. You cannot work for the company until you have an approved I-140 and have Adjusted your status. It can be a very timely procedure, depending on which country you are from.
