What is the big use of having a EAD /AP approved if 140 has not been approved yet

My EAD and AP was approved 7months ago, but I140 has been pending since Sept27,2003. What use do I have of this EAD and AP if my 140 gets rejected?
This is concurrent filing in EB-2 categ.
Any thoughts?

What i can say is..its usefull for your wife to work without any authorization.
for you as long as u have a valid H1B u really dont need.

if I140 gets rejected then EAD/AP are a waste.

My situation is same as ur's
got EAD and AP in Dec and waiting for I 140 since Oct 2003.

Using AP only is dangerous

If ur. 140 is not approved and you are vacationing in India thinking that u will use AP to get back to US. Now your 140 is denied, this will result in cancellation of AP which you may realize only when u reach US port of entry.. so imagine that situation.

I say, without 140 approval, there is no meaning of EAD/AP. Even after 140 approval, H1 is always the best bet till the plastic is in your hand.
