What is the best way for employer to initiate an inquiry ?

My I-140 application is pending at NSC since Sep 26, 2003. Can anyone tell what is the best way for my employer to initiate an inquiry about my I-140 status ?. Writing a letter ?? Phone ??

from my experience - even if attorney calls before the published processing dates, it's unlikely for an enquiry to be initiated

if ur attorney is helpful, he could write a letter - that's got the better probability
