What is taking the London Embassy so long?!!

As many of you read I had a succesful interview on Wed, July 28th at the London embassy. The consular said it would take 3-5 business days to process my visa... WHY 6 BUSINESS DAYS AM I STILL WAITING FOR MY PASSPORT (7 days if you factor in the fact that my appoinment ended at 9:30am so they had that whole day as well!!).

Is this normal? I know it's a busy embassy but come on! :mad:

SADK2, have some patience, they will definitely send it to you. Did you pay for the courier service and have you been tracking your package?

Hi Ammeck,

I did pay for the courier service. I have the tracking number but the courier service say they have not received it from the embassy yet. I guess I am at the mercy of their schedule. So frustrating as I need to get back to the U.S.

Ammeck, I see from your signature that is took two months to receive your passports. How come?!

SADK2 I have the feeling that you will receive it tom, any way the embassy in riyadh told my friend that it will take few days also, and they send it later by fedex and it takes 10 days, so don't worry mate :)

On my part, there was a delay in the medical exams, but this was even conveyed to the embassy two weeks after my interview but it them further 6 weeks to issue my visa.

Congratulation in advance. It will take 5 working days, so I hope you will get next week definately.
 
Thank you all for your responses. I am still waiting. I hope it comes by Tuesday as I have a flight booked. Fingers crossed. ;)
